PANAAD
sa
NEGROS
FESTIVAL
2006

"Mother of all Festivals" The biggest festival of them all in Negros Occidental, the PANAAD FESTIVAL, started in 1993 as a thanksgiving celebration and a fulfillment of a promise and vow to the Divine Providence in exchange of good life. It features 32 festivals that brings together 13 cities and 19 towns of Negros Occidental. In theme booths that showcase their history, culture, trade, agriculture, tourism and other industries. The annual PANAAD sa NEGROS FESTIVAL held at the Panaad Park and Stadium, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
Cueshe lang naman ang nag concert and guess what?...punong-puno talaga kahit na medyo masama ang pakiramdam ni Jay kasi parang may sipon kinda lagnat siya, oh di kaya naman kinda hang over pa xa sa gimik nila kagabi... star struck talaga ako sa kanila kasi i've get the chance to watch them practicing on stage. another star studded evening eh nung friday, 7th day na ng festival. it was the Panaad Pop Fiesta and was sponsored by Uniliver. ang mga nandun ay sina Jimmy Marquez, Tata Villaruel, Jerome Sala, hmmm... kailangan sabihin... sige na nga... Yasmien Kurdi at hindi talaga ako na aliw sa performance niya. hay naku feeling talaga...bat pa kasi sinama yan!.. at ang pang finale... the BAMBOO. astig talaga tong si Bamboo... henep ang ang galaw.. and take note naghubad pa siya...ng sapatos...eh Bamboo lang naman talaga ang hinihintay ng madalng pipol...rock rockan to the max talaga ang atmosphere ng Panaad staduim. punong-puno talaga siya...as in punong-puno just like nung SEAGAMES dito sa Bacolod. kinabukasan, 8th day, ay Lin-ay ng Negros na!.. and hulaan niyo kung sino ang dumating... si Precious Lara Quigaman lang naman and another beauty queen na maganda na parang may edad na para mag-corona sa magwawagi. syempre panalo ang Lin-ay sg Bacolod...maganda, sexy, at smart pa...nandun din si TJ Manotoc to host the said event...on the 9th day ay nag comedy stint sina Allan K (syempre taga bacolod yata sya) at si Teri Onor (yung baklang Ate Guy). sumakit talaga ang tyan ko sa kakatawa..biruiin mo ba naman na magbastusan sa stage... there are two guys na nag oonse-onse and then si Allan K in the middle na nag otso-otso...hahaha...at syempre hindi mawawala ang ms. universe ng mga bakla...so yun...dun na natapos ang Panaad sa Negros '06 and im looking forward for the next few year na mas mag improve in terms sa security and safety, entertainment, and showcase of all the cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental.

top 3 picks on AMERICAN IDOL

Kellie Pickler - "Fancy" by Reba McEntire (written by Bobbi Gentry) - I had actually gotten to a point with Kellie where her presence didn't completely irritate me. It wasn't that she was so obviously fake that irked me, but that the judges were initially glossing over terrible vocal performances and pimping her on this fake "personality". The past couple of weeks saw the judges picking apart her vocals, finally. Funny thing, the performances they were picking apart were actually better than her early outings, when all the judges had to say were "Kellie, yer just so gosh durn likable!" I actually started feeling a little sorry for her. But I'm right back to being irked. Thanks to her pre-song interview with Ryan--a lame, scripted attempt to spin the bad press Kellie has been getting lately. "Ahhhh spend threeee hunnard dolllars fer mahhhh haairrr cuts but ahhhhh donno whaat Cah-lah-mah-ri is!" Sorry, still not buying it! Kellie's vocals were ok on this tune--all about a mother who turns her 18 year old daughter out for tricks--charming! Kellie's phrasing can be really strange, with a tendancy to swallow her words. She really doesn't have much vocal power where it counts. And as she performs, she lurches awkwardly around the stage. For Kellie, little country novelty songs like "Fancy" and last week's "Suds in a Bucket" are best--because she really is all about the "personality." This week, she's back in the judge's good graces--all three praised her performance.
Ace Young - "I Wanna Cry" by Keith Urban - Who would have imagined Ace pwning on Country night? Ace, sitting on a stool, canned all the corny mannerisms and delivered a straightforward, intimate and heartfelt performance. His vocals, rather than sounding breathy and weak were sweet and highlighted his earnest vulnerability. Despite a few pitch problems here and there, his vocal was good and he acquitted himself nicely on the falsetto parts. When Ace isn't self conscious or trying too hard, there's a real attractive sincerity that comes through his performances. He'd be fine if he relaxed, and allowed himself to tap into that quality. This Ace, with all the pretension and awkwardness stripped away, is the guy who could advance deep into this competition. Randy thought the performance was boring, but Paula and Simon liked it.
Katharine McPhee - "Bringing Out the Elvis" by Faith Hill - Katharine really knows how to work that stage and the camera. And tonight, her vocals were good. But the entire effect left me cold. I don't think this was a really good song choice for her. But maybe not a good choice for anybody--"Elvis" isn't a great song. There was a lot of strutting around the stage, punctuated by Katharine belting out that chorus, "bringing out the Elvis in me." But I couldn't really hear the verse. I kept wondering who or what was turning Katharine into Elvis and why? Nice save, though. When Simon started out his critique negatively by saying he didn't like the song, Katharine shot back, "You just don't like Country music, Simon." That shut him up quick.

rush-up?! ; 12:44 PM

hay naku...halata naman na parang nirush-up lang nila ang mga bagay-bagay. desperado i think! unlike the other, talagang pinaghandaan. i've seen there preperation thru a documentary. the documentary got an award or a special citation in russia for being the "1st" to do that in our country because the jury or the audience who have watch it ay namangha sa nakita nila inspite na wala yan sa bayan natin ay susubukan pa rin nila. ewan ko nalang sa iba dyan na atat na atat! halatang-halata na minadali lang nila. eh kung may mangyari masama sa kanya, mananagot ba kayo?

Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition BIG Winner ; 4:28 PM

From being known as the queen of the escort service scandal, Keanna Reeves now holds the title as the 1st ever Celebrity Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition! The Kilabot ng Senado bested the other 13 celebrity housemates to bag four million pesos worth of cash and prizes!
“Thank you, thank you Lord! Hindi ako mapaniwala na ako yung napili niyo, nagpakatotoo lang talaga ako. Sana marami akong na-inspire na tao na hindi huli ang pagbabago, mahal tayo ng Diyos,” Big Winner Keanna said as tears of joy fell from her eyes. Her two sons and father gave her a very tight embrace while she delivered her victory speech .
Her unprecedented victory was announced during the star-studded Celebrity Big Night, the culminating event of PBBCE held in Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila, where thousands gathered to witness Keanna’s triumph.
In the final tally of votes, Keanna became the runaway winner beating the other three formidable contenders John Prats, Bianca Gonzales and Zanjoe Marudo by garnering almost half of the total votes cast. She received 571,607 votes (44.2%). John was a far second with 372,198 votes (28.8%). Bianca was named as the 3rd celebrity big placer with 245,594 (19%) while Zanjoe landed in the 4th place with 103,422 votes (8%).
Big Winner Nene Tamayo welcomed her fellow Big Winner, Keanna, back to the outside world while ABS-CBN’s Chairman, CEO and President Eugenio Lopez III awarded the big prizes. The Kilabot ng Senado received one million pesos from Rebisco. Her chosen charity, Gabriela, a group advocating for women’s rights, also received a million pesos from Rebisco. Aside from the money, Keanna was also awarded with a condo unit from Chateau Valenzuela. Although John, Bianca and Zanjoe didn’t bag the top prize, they didn’t go home empty-handed. Second Celebrity Big Placer John received P500,000 courtesy of Rebisco. His chosen charity, National Children’s Hospital, also received P500,000.
ABS-CBN's Executive Vice President and Channel Head, Charo Santos Concio awarded third celebrity big placer Bianca with P100,000. Her chosen charity, Gabriel Symphony Foundation, got P250,000 courtesy of Rebisco.
A check amounting to P100,000 was given by ABS-CBN’s Senior Vice President for Television, Cory Vidanes, to fourth celebrity big placer Zanjoe. His chosen charity, Santa Ana-San Joaquin Bahay Ampunan Foundation received P250,000 from Rebisco.
Aside from the cash prizes, each of the Big 4 received Promac appliances, a RedFox laptop and a Sony DVD camera.

KEANNA: Nanay, True Friend , Comedienne

Comedienne, nanay and a true friend. These words best describe Keanna as a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition.
In her first week in the house, Keanna immediately caught the attention of her housemates, not because they liked her. The other celebrities noticed that she was not fond of doing the household chores. Her laziness earned her a nomination during the 1st nomination night. Fortunately, possibly due to her funny jokes and antics, the viewers rescued Keanna from eviction.
Things changed after the 1st eviction night. The Kilabot ng Senado became more cooperative in terms of helping others do the household chores, tasks and challenges given by Big Brother. She eventually earned the respect of the others especially the younger celebrities like John, Roxie and Bianca. Keanna became their “Nanay-nanayan.” John would always go to her Nanay to seek her advice on how to handle the difficult situations inside the house.
Aside from being his “nanay,” John also considers Keanna as one of his closest friends. One of the most recognizable barkadas in the house was the triumvirate of John, Keanna and Rustom. Both the prodigal son of showbiz and the dance floor dynamite say that Keanna is a person whom they can truly trust. And when the moment came for Rustom to reveal the biggest secret of his life, without any doubt in his mind, Rustom chose Keanna to be the first housemate to know that he’s gay.

Aside from a nanay and a true friend, Keanna is also considered to be the funniest housemate of PBBCE. This comedienne is known for cracking anticlimactic but hilarious jokes just like what she did during her big fight with former housemate Mich. She mistakenly labed Mich as “KFC” instead of “KSP” or kulang sa pansin. Who can forget the moment when Keanna suddenly excused herself to attend to nature’s call when Rustom was about to reveal that he’s gay? These are just two of Keanna’s hilarious moments in Kuya’s house that have become part of the highlights of the 14 celebrities’ 56-day stint in PBBCE.

A bright future awaits Keanna with her emergence as the Celebrity Big Winner. Her triumph tonight didn’t only change her life but also the lives of her sons. Kilabot ng Senado’s Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition experience will surely make her a much stronger person in facing the upcoming challenges of the real world.

Brace yourselves because after three weeks, Big Brother will be back again on your TV screen for the much-awaited Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition!

the rockstar

the rockstar's story: I'm Haryl harzie Acha. Born last All-Saints Day 1987. Proud to represent the Pearl of the Orient, the Philippines and the City of Smiles, Bacolod. I'm 5'5" in height.. Pinoy ako, pinoy tayo pero with Spanish-Chinese blood mix.... I am.. "makulit", sociable & spontaneous. I'm a very simple urban dub. Nothing special on me. I'm just your guy next door.. the upper-middle class guy! I'm a sane person but sometimes a real jackass! I always come up with wild & crazy stuff at the weirdest times. :: I do a lot of talking.. a talk that larded with jokes. Other people says I'm a really laid back person which I think is a good thing. I'm also a joker, though most of the times my friends find my jokes corny, but i still tell them. Still, sometimes I could be the most boring man on earth. :: I had this I-don't-give-a-damn attitude. I don't bother what other people say like doin' a backbite and insecure criticisms. Just know me first before you judge.. and judge me by my intentions not by my actions. I really care those humbly advices to me. :: I don't like breaking the laws.. even just for fun. :: I love clubbing. I know how to party and enjoy partying. Wherever the party is happening, I'll go. I'm absolutely in the mood for whatever the night holds. Dancing 'til dawn and party like there's no tomorrow. I just love everything from rollin' up in a pub, to dancing, to even jumpin' behind the deck from time to time.. It's really great when you're in a mob of party people doin' poppy cock talks with hot mommas.. Damn cool. And the sound system kicks ass and the crowd was going crazy. It gets me pumped! :: Music is my life besides my family and friends. I had no ambition to sing. But dammit, singing makes you feel good. hehehe.. :: I'm a couch potato. Everything is all out. So no matter what I get from chillin' at home on black leather couches for hours with my couch buddy fronting a boob tube or a night hangin out with friends.. its always the best time.. :: I'm a man full of adventure. I'm always willing to take chances. I do things mostly i can mosh to.. biking, driving, strolling, sports..anything under the sun. I'm not good enough on swimming but badminton is what I'm into. And I just came into conclusion about sports as a metaphor for life. :: I really enjoy fleeing off to the beach. :: I'm a day tripper. I love to travel and I travel for fulfillment.. The best road trips are never planned..and that's fo' sure! :: I had also a kinky side.. a nutty nookie! hehe.. But I don't cat around.. and im not much in a place where the topless dancer spanks her female caddie. :: I'm on a drunken spree for many times and I always enjoyed to get a bun on before. Now, I totally cut out smoking and avoid binging on alcohol, especially drinks with carbonated mixers. I got limitations in drinking. I just hate it when i'm bagged and woozy.. and the slipshod hang over.. hehe.. and the worst to be eighty-six bcoz of drunkenness.. [still, i can't resist for sometimes.. haha].. I'm also a tear jerker.. mostly when im screwed or whenever someones crying or when im watching a drama tv show or movie. :: I has never smoked pot or done ecstacy. I don't really dabble with drugs. And I don't need some shit to settle my stomach. :: I had no piercing nor tattoo on mah body. :: I had much interest watching CSI, 24, Pamela Andersson on STACKED, Jeniffer Garner, Tony Hawk and Buckey Lasek on X Games.. They're all fearless.. And the backflip one..yes, that awesome! :: On dressing up, I wear anything. I can adapt to any style. I like simplicity. I don't believe in dressing the part. I used to wear worn out jeans, shirt & converse sneak. I can get away with wearing jeans to work because I never looks sloppy. A casual but tailored.. And what goes best of all with the outfit is attitude. Wearing a cap is also an excuse not to fix my hair. :: For sometimes, i go to a grogshop if i felt i'm really too grubby. Just can't help to be a raggamuffin bully. :: I like colors blue, green & white. :: On food, I do love to eat pasta, chicken, taco, lumpia, lasagna, bolgogi, kimchi, sushi, rice n' a box and lucky me pancit canton extra hot chili. I ususally eat with chopstick.. I'm a person who enjoys good food and drink.. a real good cuisine. :: On love, I'm romantic at heart. Although I do believe in just letting things happen. I am partial to good looks backed up with conversation. But physically, she has to have a nice booty. A classy booty. :: During my past schooling years, it's been a hard time for me since I found out I'd flunked a major subject.. I always mugged up during exam time.. a lot of pressures. :: I had plans to take up another course or just to have a master's degree. But for now I'm enjoying mah work and chillin out at night. :: I'm a INC, and go to church every Thursday & Sunday. :: I can cook an omelet and an instant pancit canton.. I do my own laundry.. :: I just hate pretense. :: I totally hate CLASSISM and DISCRIMINATION in all kinds [esp. on the basis of racial and social status]. Niggas in the hood do not appreciate that shit! Just don't let others feel they are discriminated, belittle 'em and to treat 'em with scorn if you don't like 'em. Don't be a snooty idiot if you don't want to be dump on too.. I'm a strong believer in karma. :: So, what else you don't know about me? You just even read my autobiography! Anyways, please add me in your cyber friends and thanx so much for those who accepted my invites.. I'm that nigga that you can always holla to.. Leave me a COMMENT.
