dear harzians,

hey zup! it's been since i had my last post here on blogger. super busy sa office and have no time to post. i'll try from now to update you guys of what's hapenning around. 4 more days to go, it's payday and Masskara festival na! yahooo! by the way, it's been almost 9 months i have been working in convergys. so far so good pa naman.. mejo stressed out lang sometimes and there are times na i wanted to quit but, we'll i'm part of a prestigious company. its hard to find a job now a days with the fresh grads coming in.. whew! and i dont want to start applying and under go all the process again. hehehe! we'll see what my future holds here in Convergys. I'll post one of this days our Boracay adventure with my wavemates. Just the 5 of us in the beautiful paradise, Boracay! until next time, see you soon!

Micheal Jackson DIED at the age of 50

LOS ANGELES — Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted child star who rose to become the "King of Pop" and the biggest celebrity in the world only to fall from his throne in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday. He was 50. Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Ed Winter, the assistant chief coroner for Los Angeles County, confirmed his office had been notified of the death and would handle the investigation.

The circumstances of Jackson's death were not immediately clear. Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to the hospital, Ruda told the newspaper.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

His 1982 album "Thriller" — which included the blockbuster hits "Beat It," "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" — is the best-selling album of all time, with an estimated 50 million copies sold worldwide.

The public first knew him in the late 1960s, when as a boy he was the precocious, spinning lead singer of the Jackson 5, the music group he formed with his four older brothers. Among their No. 1 hits were "I Want You Back," "ABC," and "I'll Be There."

He was perhaps the most exciting performer of his generation, known for his feverish, crotch-grabbing dance moves and his high-pitched voice punctuated with squeals and titters. His single sequined glove, tight, military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks second only to his ever-changing, surgically altered appearance.

"For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words," said Quincy Jones, who produced "Thriller." "He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him."

Jackson ranked alongside Elvis Presley and the Beatles as the biggest pop sensations of all time. He united two of music's biggest names when he was briefly married to Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie, and Jackson's death immediately evoked that of Presley himself, who died at age 42 in 1977.

As years went by, Jackson became an increasingly freakish figure — a middle-aged man-child weirdly out of touch with grown-up life. His skin became lighter, his nose narrower, and he spoke in a breathy, girlish voice. He surrounded himself with children at his Neverland ranch, often wore a germ mask while traveling and kept a pet chimpanzee named Bubbles as one of his closest companions.

"It seemed to me that his internal essence was at war with the norms of the world. It's as if he was trying to defy gravity," said Michael Levine, a Hollywood publicist who represented Jackson in the early 1990s. He called Jackson a "disciple of P.T. Barnum" and said the star appeared fragile at the time but was "much more cunning and shrewd about the industry than anyone knew."

Jackson caused a furor in 2002 when he playfully dangled his infant son, Prince Michael II, over a hotel balcony in Berlin while a throng of fans watched from below.

In 2005, he was cleared of charges he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor at Neverland in 2003. He had been accused of plying the boy with alcohol and groping him, and of engaging in strange and inappropriate behavior with other children.

The case followed years of rumors about Jackson and young boys. In a TV documentary, he had acknowledged sharing his bed with children, a practice he described as sweet and not at all sexual.

Despite the acquittal, the lurid allegations that came out in court took a fearsome toll on his career and image, and he fell into serious financial trouble.

Jackson was preparing for what was to be his greatest comeback: He was scheduled for an unprecedented 50 shows at a London arena, with the first set for July 13. He was in rehearsals in Los Angeles for the concert, an extravaganza that was to capture the classic Jackson magic: showstopping dance moves, elaborate staging and throbbing dance beats.

Singer Dionne Warwick said: "Michael was a friend and undoubtedly one of the world's greatest entertainers that I fortunately had the pleasure of working with. ... We have lost an icon in our industry."

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hospital as word of his death spread. The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center, which is near Jackson's rented home, was roped off with police tape.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Jackson has just died," a woman boarding a Manhattan bus called out, shortly after the news was announced. Immediately many riders reached for their cell phones.

So many people wanted to verify the early reports of Jackson's death that the computers running Google's news section interpreted the fusillade of "Michael Jackson" requests as an automated attack for about half an hour Thursday evening.

In New York's Times Square, a low groan went up in the crowd when a screen flashed that Jackson had died, and people began relaying the news to friends by cell phone.

"No joke. King of Pop is no more. Wow," Michael Harris, 36, of New York City, read from a text message a friend sent to his telephone. "It's like when Kennedy was assassinated. I will always remember being in Times Square when Michael Jackson died."

today is march 1, 2009, exactly 5:25pm in a computer shop here in villamonte. haaay! i'm tired! i went to SM to buy something. i bought a jacket which dugay ko na xa gna site2 sa oxygen. sa wakas nabakal ko man gd xa. and also I bought a new jeans and a black shoes. i wanted to buy more kaso insufficient funds, shopping in progress. hehehehehe! next pay day naman ah! i'll buy a converse highcut, a phone and ... whatever attracts my eyes! hehehe! nami gale kung may obra ka noh?. nabakal mo ang gusto mo. its been a month and a half since I started sa convergys and now, I have a new TL in the person of Jen Corpuz. looking forward to have a good working relationship with Jen and her team. I hope they will help for I am a newbie in the production. and by the way, ka team na kme gle ni bogs!. wala lang. nging helpful sa akin nung isang beses. tne tudluan ya man ko japun. hehehe! badtrip gd ko daan sang friday ko nga shift. last chat, one hour and thirty something minutes, i got a crazy customer! WTF! i wasnt able to fix the issue and I escalated it. im nervous na nga eh. QA might call my attention.

i'll start my story when benjo txted me to come with her sa riverside satellite center in mandalagan to have her medical exam. its was brown out that day. so i went to the place. after arriving, i waited for her at chicken house north for ten minutes. then she showed up with a dismay on her face. the physician told her that she can't take the medical examination because she has her thing..."it's a girl thing!" & "it's reddish and somewhat painful"... gets? so since we have nothing to do, we went upstairs in excel asia just to see AJ. we missed her so much...hehehe! its just AJ & Tina there in the room doing some stuff...some paper works i guess. we were just having some chit chat there & this darwin textd us that he's in star of asia. so after saying our goodbye's to them, we immediately hop on a fast coming jeep. i dont know why?! adrenalin i guess... after arriving there, darwin delivered to us the bad news. he flunked the TP interview. he was so depressed with what happened! just one more interview then he could have been hired. well, thats life! afterwards, me, benjo, dawin, & caloi, went to focus pacific bcoz darwin and caloi wanted to pass a resume there. and then after that, we went to bbb fudpark to have our dinner. its was still brownout. so it was nice to have a candle-lit dinner with..the place was cozy and i enjoyed it! after dinner, darwin went home. me, benjo & caloi hang-out at munsterific near circle inn. and then after few minutes, we decided to go home na coz im sleepy and tired. so, we parted ways. after reaching home, i ate dinner again...hehehe! sarap ng ulam eh..fried fish! yumm! after eating, i was checking my fon ans was about to sleep, when suddenly, a familiar voice screamed from a far. my mom and dad was outside our house coz it was still brownout. they saw what happened. it was J-ANNE, a nursing student of USLS, the daughter of our neighbor. i heard her screaming, "MAMAAAA!" first instinct was to ran outside to know what happened to her. so all of us ran outside, no one left in the house. J-ANNE WAS ROBBED! she was riding a trisikad, alone, and just few meters na lang ang bahay nila nung hinoldup xa. a trisikol overtake them and three out of six men hop out of the trisikol and suddenly grab j-anne's bag. after that, they escaped via bs. aquino drive. for us, we were shocked bcoz she's a family friend to us. mabuti na nga lang walang masamang nangyari sa kanya. and after the incident, i told my younger sister to go home first and check if it's ok. after doing so, i saw her running towards us and screaming "THE KITCHEN WAS SET ON FIRE!" luckily she arrived there on time and extinguished the fire or else the whole house could have been burned out. it was only the table, table cover and it's contents was totally burned. WHAT A F***ING DAY!!! until nxtime harzians. F*CK ALL HOLD-UPERS!

Actor Marky Cielo, 20, who rose to fame after winning a youth talent search on television network GMA 7, was found dead by his mother inside their home Sunday morning and police are still investigating exactly how he died.

According to a statement from the TV network, Cielo’s mother, Mildred, went into her son’s room in their house in Antipolo City to wake him up at around 10 a.m.

When Cielo (Mark Angelo Cadaweng Cielo in real life) did not respond, Mildred rushed him to the nearby Antipolo Doctor’s Hospital where the actor was declared dead on arrival, the statement added.

While it appeared that Cielo died in his sleep, as of this posting, the cause of Cielo’s death was unknown as his family was still waiting for his medical records to be released.

“The family is experiencing tremendous pain because of Marky’s death and is requesting for your prayers. It is also their wish that this matter remain private for now,” the GMA statement said.

Look up at the sky Monday night to see a bright cosmic frown. The planets Jupiter and Venus will briefly align to form (nearly upside down) two eyes and a frowning mouth in the southwest.

In what's called a planetary conjunction, the two planets —the brightest in the night sky — will appear extremely close, separated by only the width of a finger held at arm's length. They won't be this close together and well-placed for evening viewing again until May 2013.

In fact, some astronomers think a similar alignment of the planets on June 17 in the year 2 BC is behind biblical accounts of the Star of Bethlehem present during Christ's birth. The bright planets would have appeared so close together they could have been taken as a single shining star.

Though the three celestial objects will appear to be close together Monday night, they lie at drastically different distances from Earth. While the moon is only 252,000 miles away, Venus is 370 times farther away, at 94 million miles. And distant Jupiter lies nearly six times farther away than Venus, at around 540 million miles.

The tables are turned when we think about the heavenly objects' relative size. While the moon appears as the largest of the three, it is really a tiny speck in space compared to the vast bulk of Venus, which is again dwarfed by Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system. Jupiter's diameter is 40 times that of the moon.

Though Jupiter is much larger than Venus, it appears dimmer to us, because the latter planet is so much closer to Earth. Plus, Jupiter is much farther away from the sun than Venus, so the light bouncing off it is much less intense than the light bouncing off Venus, which hasn't had to travel so far.

Thai protesters opened fire on government supporters today as the six-month campaign to unseat the elected administration intensified.

The fighting began when government supporters began throwing rocks at a truck carrying members of the People's Alliance for Democracy (Pad) on its return from Bangkok's old airport where the group had been holding a rally.

Television footage from the public broadcaster TPBS showed Pad protesters responding with handguns and slingshots.

The anti-government protesters had already formed a blockade on the road leading to Don Muang airport, north of the city, where ministers have been running the country since Pad members invaded Government House in August.

The protesters on the truck appeared to be among the so-called alliance guards, who have earned a reputation for aggressive behaviour.

They hoisted a portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Thailand's revered monarch, whose interests they claim to be working for.

The Narenthorn medical centre said four people were admitted after the clash.

Other television footage showed anti-government supporters surrounding a motorcycle taxi driver and putting a knife to his throat. After the driver fled, the protesters hit several motorbikes with steel rods and set fire to another one.

Government supporters, distinguished by their red shirts from the anti-government demonstrators' yellow, were seen fleeing from Pad members.

During the brief skirmish, neither police nor other security forces intervened.

The second day of protests saw demonstrators blocking all but one lane on the expressway to Thailand's main international airport, Suvarnabhumi, used by 13 million tourists every year.

The prime minister, Somchai Wongsawat, has rejected Pad demands to stand down.

Activists accuse him of being a puppet of his brother-in-law and former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was accused of corruption and abuse of power and deposed in a military coup in September 2006. Thaksin is due to return from an Asia-Pacific summit in Peru tomorrow.

"It is time to make a clear-cut choice between good and evil, between those who are loyal and traitors," Pad leader Somsak Kosaisuk told 10,000 yellow-shirted supporters waving hand clappers and shouting anti-government slogans.

Members of Pad, which consists of royalist businessmen and academics, see this week's action as the final battle in their attempt to overthrow the elected government.

But analysts believe the latest protests are unlikely to deliver a knock-out blow to the People Power Party (PPP) government. Opinion polls show waning public support for Pad.

Experts think many of the group's powerful backers in Bangkok are getting cold feet about the damage the long-running political crisis is having on the economy. The export-driven country is already struggling to cope with the global financial crisis.

Despite his ties to Thaksin, Somchai's bland, inoffensive personality has proved a hard target for Pad.

Police are eager to avoid a repeat of October 7 when two protesters were killed and hundreds injured in street battles, the worst violence in Bangkok since the army opened fire on pro-democracy demonstrators in 1992.

Bloodshed could trigger another coup only two years after the army removed Thaksin. However, it is unlikely another putsch could heal the fundamental political rift.

BEIJING OLYMPICS 2008

(BEIJING, August 9) -- On the night of August 8, 2008, the sound of heavy footsteps thundered across the "Bird's Nest" as colossal burning "footprints" marched in the sky along Beijing's central axis all the way through the Olympic Green to the National Stadium. As the last "footprint" lit up the sky above the National Stadium, spectators all over the world began a virtual tour of Chinese culture; what they saw was ancient China and young China, a nation wishing to build a harmonious home together with friends from all parts of the world.

More than 20,000 performers from all parts of China including Hong Kong, Macao and Chinese Taipei, regaled audience members with martial arts performances and artistic story telling through song and dance. On the ever-changing backdrop and accompanied by amazingly complex displays of fireworks, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games was launched, literally, with a bang.

The creative team

BOCOG started soliciting programs worldwide for the Opening Ceremony in 2005. In 2006, 13 winning proposals started on their second round of competition. Based on the final results, a five-member directors' group was appointed from the three best teams. Zhang Yimou was chosen as artistic director and Zhang Jigang and Chen Weiya were selected as deputy artistic directors. Yu Jianping became director of the technology group and Lu Jiankang was made production director of the Opening Ceremony.

Creating artistic harmony

The creative team found that none of the 13 project proposals could be directly adopted for the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games. It would take time and effort to put a unique show together. Chinese elements that are already well-known in the world, such as Peking opera, martial arts, the Great Wall, terracotta warriors, the Silk Road and Zheng He's ocean voyages, were applied in almost all the proposals, but how should they be integrated?

The concept of a "painting scroll" emerged and most of the original program ideas unfolded around it, forming the artistic concept of "displaying the world on a small square," demonstrating the progress of blending Chinese culture with world culture.

Early drafts

In an early version of the program, complete with four chapters, the creative team used the ideas of paper, Chinese characters, the Earth and Chinese ink and brush painting as favored tools to express the themes of "civilization" and "harmony" in a liberal style. Leading officials also approved portrayals of the Silk Road and Zheng He's ocean voyages.

All members of the creative team believed that the Earth should appear in the Opening Ceremony, which thus conformed to the slogan "One World One Dream." Chinese painting was also one of the elements that the creative team emphasized. The concept of paper could combine perfectly with Chinese paintings and thus become the master link that ran through the performances of the Opening Ceremony.

In the summer of 2006, although a series of thoughts swarmed in the heads of the creative team members, they were having trouble harmonizing the themes in a final, cohesive manner.

Two parts to make the whole

By the end of April 2007, the creative team finally decided to divide the artistic performances into two parts: the first half, "Brilliant Civilization," would highlight the past 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, and the second half, "Glorious Era," would exhibit the great achievements and the new look of modern China, portraying the Chinese nation's dream of building harmoniously with the people of the world.

With this in mind, the final version of the project developed into the basic framework of a unique Chinese scroll, on which performers would expressively show the development of Chinese culture through time.

On this stage, "moveable type printing," "Confucius' 3,000 disciples," "The Analects of Confucius," "Zheng He's ocean voyages" and "Chinese ritual music" would all be showcased, depicting a weighty painting of the flow of Chinese civilization.

The long scroll would also incorporate China's more recent achievements, including the "Bird's Nest."

Fiery pictures

Gun-powder expert Cai Guo-Qiang's works of art soon caught the attention of the creative team. Cai was best at "fireworks painting" -- drawing the outline of a picture with gun-powder and then igniting it, creating a three-fold painting effect ("original painting," "fireworks painting" and "ash painting").

The original idea of "fireworks painting" was finally blended into a draft of the project. The team selected Picasso's Guernica, an oil painting condemning war atrocities, to test out the idea. Performers stepped into a huge remake of the frame, poured gun-powder along the lines of the painting it enclosed, and thus turned it into a line drawing of Guernica. A corner of the painting began to light up, and the fire soon spread to the entire piece, burning an outline of the artwork into the land, and leaving behind beautiful ashes in the same shape.

However, the IOC had a different opinion. Picasso's Guernica might remind the spectators of sad memories of World War II. Meanwhile, the creative team did not have adequate confidence in its reliability and safety. Therefore, after continuing for half a year, the concept was finally put away.

Instead, the creative team worked out a design that combined a display of the Olympic Rings Bird's Nest. Thousands of sparks resembling clusters of stars would then float down slowly onto the ground to gather and form five shining rings. At this point, flying "fairies" would descend to slowly lift up the five rings, allowing them to hover in mid-air amid soft music right before the eyes of spectators, filling the stadium with a dreamy, romantic air. with "footprints of fireworks." 29 colossal "footprints," representing the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, would make their way into the stadium with the last "footprint" exploding in the air over the

Unprecedented involvement

In Opening Ceremonies of past Olympic Games, there have not been any action or artistic work that involved all of the athletes. The final version of this year's project came into being in April 2008. On the exposed painting scroll which initially served as the background of the artistic performances, performers would draw an ink painting of a landscape, with the lower half of the "paper" left blank. The idea was that during the parade of athletes, the Olympic competitors would walk over the blank space of the painting, leaving behind their colorful footprints with the help of a sort of dye mat. Their footprints on the paper would then make the shape of natural land, dotted with colorful, blooming flowers, to complete the painting.

This is the first Olympic Games in which athletes would become an actual part of the Opening Ceremony performance. An IOC official praised it as the largest action art in Olympic Movement history.

In addition, BOCOG invited five music bands from five continents to play the music for the parade of athletes.

Release of pigeons

The protocol that must be observed at the Opening Ceremony of any Games is the symbolic release of pigeons. The creative team worked out a bold romantic concept that turned the idea into a more abstract design. As the Opening Ceremony performances drew to a close, a hundred girls in white would lead the spectators and athletes in waving their hands to resemble the movement of real pigeons. The bowl arc edge of the Bird's Nest would be turned into wide screens on which pictures of people of different backgrounds would be projected, waving "pigeons" in their hands. The design blends "communication," "beauty," and "solemn ritual" into one, thus becoming an important highlight of the ceremony.

From creation to production

After the final version of the project was worked out, the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games began to move from project creation to production.

Highly skilled performers had to work through aches and pains to fulfill the requirements of dancing on the abstract backgrounds; this is especially true for the 60 artists that were chosen to surround the model Earth. During training, they were required to run, jump and somersault with their bodies leaning in fantastically different angles.

In lighting, acoustic design and large-scale engineering projects, the Beijing Games Opening Ceremony adopted state-of-the-art technology and introduced scientific elements into producing stage properties.

The Opening Ceremony performances have introduced the most sophisticated digital multimedia projectors to help transform the entire Bird's Nest into the largest multimedia screen in the world.

Without a doubt, the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games will leave behind a solid memory for all Olympic fans.

MV Princess of the Stars

The ferry left the port of Manila on June 21, 2008 on its way to Cebu City. The number of passengers is variously reported between 700 and 800.

The ferry sent a distress signal late on June 21 when its engines stalled in rough seas near Sibuyan Island. San Fernando mayor Nanette Tansingco sent a speedboat and confirmed that the ferry had a hole in the hull, is partially submerged and several bodies were found nearby.^[6]

As of June 23, four bodies were recovered by the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine Navy.^[7] According to the Coast Guard, the ferry's manifest recorded 702 passengers including 50 children as well as 100 crew. The civil defense office said the ship carried 626 passengers and 121 crew members. Three Navy vessels were dispatched but one had to abort its mission due to "gigantic waves, pounding rain, and gusty winds," said Lieutenant Colonel Edgard Arevalo, spokesman of the Philippine Navy.

A rescue ship reached the MV Princess of the Stars, more than 24 hours after it lost radio contact at 12:30 PST (04:30 GMT) on Saturday. Philippine Coast Guard spokesman Lt. Senior Grade Arman Balilo, however, lamented: "They haven't seen anyone. They're scouring the area. They're studying the direction of the waves to determine where survivors may have drifted."

Xinhua News Agency reported that 4 survivors witnessed "that the captain of the ship ordered the abandoning of the ship at noon Saturday, but many passengers did not even wear life vests when the ship capsized." Four survivors told GMA News news that "the ship did not malfunction, but only slowed down its speed as it encountered big waves off the coast of Romblon." One saw many people jump, but "the waves were so big and the rains so strong that few of them could have possibly survived; the crew were so busy saving themselves that they did not care to help the passengers to wear safety vests, and that some of the passengers passed out while children and the elderly failed to wear life vests because they could no longer move when the ship was turning upside down."

Tansingco confirmed that 4 aboard died and hundreds of passengers were still missing. Dozens of people trooped to the offices of owner Sulpicio Lines in Cebu and Manila North Harbor. The victims' families accused Sulpicio Lines and the Philippine Coast Guard of allowing the ship to set sail despite the bad weather. They further blamed Sulpicio for not personally informing them about the tragedy, the details of the accident, and the condition of the ship plus its passengers. Sulpicio Lines's counsel stated that "the ship never received advice from Coast Guard, while Metro Manila was still under public storm signal No. 1 when the ship left the port." Furthermore, BBC quoted President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as saying, "Why did you allow it to sail and why was there no ample warning? I want answers."

Sulpicio admitted that 860 were on board as the ferry capsized: "There were 751 manifested passengers and 111 crew members on board the capsized vessel." The Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) suspended all sea travel operations of the Sulpicio. Sulpicio lines released the names of 32 survivors with the complete passenger manifest and crew list uploaded on their website.

Typhoon Frank struck the Philippines

PAGASA monitored a low-pressure area east of Mindanao early on June 16. Two days later, it was named Tropical Depression "Frank". Then the next day PAGASA upgraded it to a tropical storm. A bit later the JMA classified this as a Tropical Storm and gave it the name Fengshen. On the 19th of June Fengshen/Frank was upgraded to Typhoon Status. The name "Fengshen" was submitted by the People's Republic of China and is the Mandarin Chinese name for the God of Wind, Fengshen (Chinese: 风神，風神). Fengshen has been the sixth typhoon to reach the Philippines in 2008.

On June 20, Fengshen made landfall in Samar, in the central Philippines, traveling northwest. At least 155 people have been killed by the typhoon as it drops torrential rain causing flooding and mudslides. In Iloilo province, 59 are reported killed and 40 missing. In Iloilo City, 30 thousand people were forced onto rooftops when a nearby reservoir burst. In the Bicol Region, more than 200 thousand people sought temporary shelter from the typhoon.

today is june 12, 2008, Independence Day of the Republic of the Philippines. busy gd sbung!..hehehe! i cant believe it happened. daw matawa lang ko kung mapinsaran ko..hahaha! we planned to have a night out..kami kami lang!...pero nga daw kadamo sang mga natabo sini mga adlaw. i remember nka red ko nga shirt kag skinny jeans nga black kag nka white converse shoes...tapos nagkilitaay kmi sa pipols. una ako pa lang ara to. nkita ko daun kndy rosene kang cherry (magulang ni rosene for those sa mga wala kabalo!), ti kundi nag-una kmi ya shat samtang ginahulat ang iban nga AKM!. after a few moments nag-abot kndy melody kag che-che. after few hours...joke! minutes lang ah! nag-abot kndy pearly, kat & pao.. and then si jason & xirley. t amo na to kumpleto na kmi tanan(actually not all were there!) kay ang iban ara sa victorias kag bago!..gets nio kung kndy sino?...hehehe! so after a few rounds of horse back riding..daw mga linger na bla ang iban nag-ginuwa na ang mga secreto. ang mga hibubun-ot nila sa isa kag isa. wala man nila ginapakita or gna xpres gd bla aw, ma sense ko gd ya nga may tension. kundi pati ako nadalahig na lng!..hehehe! daw matawa ko samtang ga type ko sbung. hahaha! daw ka koplekado kung ibuyagyag ko ni sa inyo tanan. sa dason naman ah. basta ang ending, we went to mo2 ice to have some fun. after few hours, we went to lucky break and then went home. that all!...

dear harzians,

today is may 12, 2008, at may nationwide transport strike na naman. kainis nga eh kasi may outing kmi ngaun. buti na lang meron naman kaming nasakyan. pero di pa rin ok eh! super bad day ko talaga! it started nung morning. i have to make sundo kasi si katrina. i txted her na i'll wait sa may station of the cross just few meters lang sa house nila but still im getting no replies...wala gd!..paasa lang ang upisyo! cgeha kay ma mau ka gd na sa ulihi..hehehe!..i decided nga malakat na lang eh!...bantay man ko jeep sa may caltex..la gd ni isa maski taxi na lang bla haw wala gd...la man trisikol...alangan naman masikad ko..te amo to gin amat amat ko lakat..i said to my self, "ay basi maymalabay nga taxi sa may bangga patyo!" kundi lakat man ko to eh!..while raining ha...ang while making bibit sang bihon kag sang bag ko...te daw wla gd...idog2 naman ko gamay...hasta nga ara nako sa burgos...te daw wla gd bla aw!...samtang gaulan kag gabinakintol japun ha...amat ko kay basi may ara sa lacson, sa may mercury bala aw...te pag-abot ko to...daw wala gd ya japun...as i was about to cross the street, may nagpundo sa atubangan ko nga motor. hambal ya "mandalagan ko, sabay ka?"...nang-indi ko ah!..basi sukton ka pa na mahal kag isa pa sa plaza man ko ya makadto kay ara to sila gahulat...ti gn lakat ko man pa plaza eh kay daw obvious nga lapit na lang ko...hehehe! stupid life! puta kapoy kapoy mo!... kada tikang ko daw malupog na gid ko. te amo to nagpasugat na lang ko sa ila sa may kilid lcc naun...bantay naman kme taxi pkdt2 punta taytay.. mau lang may nagpasakay sa amon 300 ang sukot nya..gn ayu man namon daun eh hasta nga nag 250 nlg..samtang gabyahe kme, may nagharang sa amon nga mga driver sa may lapit magsungay bla kay nag short cut kme sa may alunan baybay. ate gn pa gwa naman nmon ang amon nga dramatization skills...hambalan namon sila nga "ia ni ni daddy ang taxi yah!...ma outing kme kay sbung lang ang amon nga day-off sa teletech." pati man daun sila eh. hatag lang kme 10 pesos kay bakal lang kuno kalamay. anhon nio na ya? naton bakal nio tanduay!...mga hangag ah! te amo to nka lampuwas na kme sa ila..dire-diretso na kme daun pa pta.taytay..pag-abot gd nmon gn luto nmon daun ang mga lulutuon like the porkchops ang hotdogs...ang then out of the blue, a man appeared in front of us saying that xa na lang daw maluto sang sulugbahon...pabayaan na lang namon eh kay daw harmless man xa kag isa pa ato na xa gatuwad-tuwad paypay sang baga. ti pagkaluto naki join man xa sa amon lunch eh...feeling close pa na. after namon lunch swimming naman...and then after that shating nman... kag may dramam man gamay ah!...mga artista daan ang mga upod ko..hahahaha! haay daw kasaja man ah!...mga pass 7pm na kme guro nka puli kay gainulan pa...amo lang na anay sbung ah kay daw natuyo na ko...dasun naman..

The Dinagyang Ati Competition is the main highlight of the Dinagyang Festival and will be held on January 27, 2008 or every fourth Sunday of January. During the Dinagyang Ati competition, competing tribes composed of dark-brown colored warriors perform a highly choreographed dance to a fast paced beat of drums and paying homage to the child Jesus by shouting “Viva, Viva! Senyor Santo Nino!.”

This year 20 tribes will be joining the competition namely: Tribu Ivatan, Baryohan, San Pedro, Binhi, Hamili, Paghidaet, Angola, Kalubihan, Molave, Ilonganon, Pag-asa, Silak, Pana-ad, Atub-Atub, Himala, Familia Sagrada, Aninipay, Pari-anon, Ang Taga Jaro and Bantu.

The most distinct tribe joining is Tribu Ivatan, which hails from far away Batanes Province. Tribu Ivatan is the only participating tribe that comes from outside the city and region. They will be the first tribe to perform at the Iloilo Freedom Grandstand on January 27, 2008. They joined the competition because they believe that it is a great way to promote the tourism industry of Batanes.

For two years in a row, the Dinagyang Festival had been cited by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) as Best Tourism Event in the country. It has also received international recognitions such as given by the United Nations Development Programme in a CityNet conference in Katmandu, Nepal as Best Practice in the Promotion of the Localization of the Millennium Development Goals and by the Asian Development Bank as Best Practice in Public and Private Cooperation.

Last year, Dinagyang also emerged first runner-up in the Aliwan Fiesta 2007 held in Manila and awarded Best in Music in the Western Visayas Tourism Assembly held in Bacolod City. (PIA)

The Parade Route will start at Freedom Grandstand where there will be a judging area. Once the competing tribe is finished with their performance, the parade will move along J.M. Basa Street and through Iznart Street passing by Plazoletagay Rhotunda and proceeding to the Provincial Capitol where the second judging area will be staged. Once finished, the parade will move on to General Luna St. and turn left to Quezon St., where the participating tribes will be having their street dance performance until the corner of Quezon-Ledesma Sts., where the third judging area will be held. After their performance, the parade will turn left to Ledesma St. and Right to Iznart St., passing by Plazoletagay Rhotunda. During the stretch of the road, the competing tribes will have another street dance performance until the Maria Clara Monument, where the final judging area will be at.

Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 BIG WINNER, Ruben Gonzaga

The evening started with a roaring 20s themed number with Kuya, Toni, ex-celebrity housemate Mcoy Fundales and special guests Nikki Gil and Vina Morales. Toni is soon joined by Uber hosts Bianca and Mariel, looking very fabulous in their colorful evening gowns. In a back take on the happenings inside the house which started last October 14, the ex-celebrity HMs made their appearances on stage one by one.

While all these were happening, Will, Riza, Ruben and Gaby waited patiently for Kuya’s signal to leave the house. Soon, the first of Kuya’s special visitors of the night appeared. Ms. Mercy Cabrillas of Tahanang Sta. Luisa, Jon’s chosen charity’s representative, received a check worth P20,000, the coins they used for the Big Four special task converted by Big Brother to fulfill the four’s request for the ‘fifth placer’.

Riza gave another one of her shocking screams when her father came in next. Mr. Ruel Santos shared some encouraging words for his daughter and was also very pleased to meet the other housemates. Will, on the other hand, received a special phone call from his mother, Doris Dorman, from the States. Kuya mentioned that he had a hard time locating Will’s mom for apparently she relocated to homes. Will was so pleased to hear from his mother that he could not help but shed a tear or two. Ruben also jumped for joy upon seeing his uncle whom he affectionately calls Papa Locloc. He proudly introduced to the housemates the man who inspired him to be a comedian. Last but not the least is Gaby’s older brother, Jan. The housemates were amazed how he was so much like Gaby. He even joked a lot with them despite having a sprained leg. All of the housemates only had 100 seconds each to speak to their loved ones and these short moments left them craving to see the outside world more.

Meanwhile, Ethel was on a roll at the Big Night stage with her fellow comedians who were ready to give their hilarious sketches of the Big Four. Tuesday Vargas took the stage first as the Racing Goddess. The crowd could not help but laugh with her on the spot imitation of Gaby. A ‘bald’ RS Francisco transformed into Will and emphasized the Fil-German’s effort to speak tagalog in spite of his twisted tongue. He and Ethel cracked the audience up as they re-enacted the love team-that-would-just-not-be. Giselle Sanchez, who took on the role of last season’s fourth big placer Gee Ann Abrahan, became Riza. Beauty conscious like the Cheering Chick, Giselle carried a compact wherever she went. Also she went from conservative to screaming girl just like Riza when she saw her mother. The comedian from Davao was portrayed by Ricci Chan, who copied Ruben’s trademark Budotz dance and failed first marriage proposal.

Finally the Big Four arrive at the Araneta and were ushered in a mini confession room backstage. Jon, Victor, Baron and Mariel made a skit reminiscent of their Kaishou Taishou task to announce what the winners will be receiving. The Fourth Big Placer will be receiving P400,000 from Jack and Jill snacks and ABS-CBN while his/her chosen charity will be getting P200,000 from Globe Asiatique. The Third Big Placer in turn will be getting P600,000 from Jack and Jill snacks and ABS-CBN and his/her chosen charity will be given P300,000 from Globe Asiatique. The Second Big Placer is to receive a whopping P1,000,000 from Jack and Jill snacks and ABS-CBN and his/her chosen charity P500,000 from Globe Asiatique. The Big Winner will be taking home a Sony Bravia, a Goodah business franchise worth P2,000,000, a condominium unit from Chateau Valenzuela and P2,000,000 cash from Jack and Jill snacks and ABS-CBN. His/her charity on the other hand will be receiving a million from Globe Asiatic. Toni also mentions that Gaby’s prizes will have a deduction because of her two week stay outside the house. She too reminds everyone of the Big Four’s pledge of 10% of their winnings to Mommy Yayo.

The moment of truth arrives and the envelope of the Fourth Big Placer comes out with a bang. Will is then announced to come out and receive his prizes on stage. The model could not be happier with the decision for he feels they are all winners already at that point. The True Lover took in 230,509 or 14.65% of the text votes. He is also announced Jag Jeans newest celebrity endorser.

The third place belonged to Gaby, garnering a total of 406,892 or 25.5% of the votes. The Racing Goddess cheerfully waved to her supporters after emerging from below the stage. She thanked everyone for making her stint inside one big life changing experience.

The tension was definitely off the charts when the Second Big Placer was announced. Riza, the Desirable Diva, took in 430,135 votes or 27.335 of the total tally. She was ecstatic to see not only her family but also her supporters.

Ruben could only shed tears of joy as he relished victory in the confession room alone. He soon emerged on a throne in the middle of a fire works filled stage. The Komedyanteng Promdi could not help but jump up and down. He was met on stage tearfully by his wife, Jesselle. The other housemates crowded him too with their congratulatory hugs and kisses. Ruben could only utter endless thanks to those who helped him bag the most coveted prize of all. "Para sa lahat ng sumuporta , pangrarap ng buong bayan natupad nap o. Maraming, maraming salamat po!"

Another celebrity edition has ended but we still have a lot of surprises in store for 2008! A number with PBB Teen housemates’s Kim, Gerald, Mikee, Clare and the whole gang, Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino and Pinoy Dream Academy’s new head master Ryan Cayabyab heralded what’s soon to come on ABS-CBN. Watch out for PBB Teen Edition 2 this summer and Pinoy Dream Academy 2 in the latter part of the year. A coup bid by renegade Philippine soldiers has ended after hundreds of government troops stormed a luxury hotel in Manila.

The renegades were arrested by police and led, handcuffed, out of the Peninsula Hotel.

They had barricaded themselves in the building after breaking out of court where they were standing trial over a failed 2003 mutiny.

They were calling for the overthrow of President Gloria Arroyo.

n a website statement, the organisers of the botched coup attempt said the country was facing "a crisis of extreme proportions" and that Mrs Arroyo was a "bogus president".

"We have today withdrawn our support from Mrs Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, in order to end her unconstitutional and illegal occupation of the presidency," one of the leaders, Brig Gen Danilo Lim, wrote.

'Chaos and panic'

A five-hour overnight curfew has been imposed in Manila, starting at 2400 (1600GMT).

Interior minister Ronaldo Puno said it would allow the authorities to conduct "follow-up" security operations.

During the hotel assault, about 1,500 government troops had surrounded the building before an armoured personnel carrier smashed through the main entrance.

Tear gas and shots were fired, but there are no reports of casualties.

The BBC's Michael Barker at the scene said the lobby was covered with shattered glass and there were Christmas decorations on the floor.

A leader of the rebels, Sen Antonio Trillanes, said they were ending their action to save the lives of civilians and journalists inside the hotel.

He was arrested along with about two dozen soldiers.

Leonie Anning, a British tourist in Manila, told the BBC News website that she was in a nearby shop when she was evacuated and rushed onto the street.

"There was big chaos and panic," she said.

"There were many armed soldiers... and not knowing what's going on, it was pretty scary," she said.

However, Michael Whiting, the vice-chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Manila, told the BBC News website that his Filipino colleagues seemed "pretty apathetic".

"Most people have grown weary of attempts to overthrow the government," he said.

"World watching"

Robert Reyes, a priest who supported the rebels, said the violence was unnecessary.

"We did not really intend any violence - the violence came from the military," he said from the lobby before the rebels surrendered.

"You saw what happened - they had to ram a tank into the lobby of the hotel where there was not a single gunshot was fired. The whole world was watching - may the world have mercy on this government."

The Philippines has a history of insurrection and popular revolt.

Mrs Arroyo, whose popularity has been dented by long-standing corruption allegations, has already survived at least two coup plots and three attempts to impeach her during her time in office. Sen Trillanes, a navy lieutenant, was elected in May but has remained in military detention while on trial over a 2003 mutiny. Then renegade troops took over a shopping centre for a day, until they were overpowered by security forces.

it was last sunday, november 11 when i heard the news that my aunt helen passed away..i was kinda shocked of what happened to her kasi all i knew na pagaling na xa...not clear nga kung ano talaga yung sakit niya...some say na kulam daw and others said that nabagok ang ulo niya...madaming specualtions eh... naabutan ko pa nga siyang buhay noong pumunta kami dun sa kabankalan nung november 1...she was very thin unlike before she was very conscious of her beauty...nagkalaman na nga yung eh compare nung dumating siya didto galing manila...eh di mas thin pa siya noon? grabe naman....tapos binisita namin siya uli nung november 2, which is my birthday, just a little gathering of family members... she was very happy at that time kasi kumpleto kaming magpipinsan... i saw a pure smile in her face nung nakita ko siya... sadly, yun na yung huling kita ko sa kanya na masaya siya... november 5 came, pauwi na kami ng bacolod nung na hospital siya uli...nakasakay na kami kasi sa bus kaya di na kami nakapunta sa hospital...i was praying for her fast recovery... im not sure kung ilang days siya sa hospital. tapos dumating yung asawa at dalawang anak niya... then came the 11th of november. papunta na sana yung dad (older sister niya si tita helen) ko to visit her sa hospital...di na niya naabutan yung aunt...at 11am of november 11 siya pinagpahinga ni God. nasa bus pa lang yung dad ko nung tinext siya nung other sister niya...

pumunta ako dun nung thursday, november 15. brownout pa nung pagdating ko kaya its kinda creepy kasi sa bahay (kung saan sila lumaki) lang nila yung lamay. november 17 yung interment niya...burst of emotions sa simbahan... ako naman eh na carried-away agad...i cried lang nung nakita ko si tita ping2 na umiyak kasi siya yung may alam talaga kung ano ang buhay ng tita helen ko sa muntinlupa...both of them kasi eh nasa manila... after the mass, proceed kami sa cemetery...buti na nga lang di na umulan ng malakas kasi maputik yung sementeryo...tapos kinda slopy pa... binurol siya sa ibabaw ng lolo ko which is their father. so yun...umuwi ako the day after...

to my aunt helen, i will never forget you...

Glorietta 2 Tragedy

The 2007 Glorietta explosion occurred in the Glorietta 2 section of the Glorietta shopping complex at Ayala Center in Makati, Metro Manila, in the Philippines on 19th of October 2007 at around 1:25 PM. Initial reports indicated that the explosion originated from an LPG tank explosion in an in-mall restaurant. However, authorities were (as of yet) unable to confirm the true nature or source of the explosion. The blast has killed eleven persons and injured more than 100. Many of the victims were admitted at the Makati Medical Center and Ospital ng Makati.

My question is, Is this a tragic accident or is this a bombing? So far, no one has claimed responsibility (if this really was a bombing - although someone related to the bomb squad dispatched in the area texted us that ~~related to the bomb squad dispatched in the area texted us that it really was a bomb~~). On the other hand, I can’t help but think that the government may be connected to this. Is this their idea of drawing the country’s attention from the bribery to a tragedy?

i make kwento lang kung ano yung na saw ko na mga hapenning nung 3rd day of august 2007 sa Mandaue Sports Complex. it all started sa guy na naka green na stripes seating infront of us. habang kasi sumasayaw yung hataw sayaw contestant namin eh walang kaabog-abog na bilang nag "BOO!!!" itong si guy na naka green. eh nakita ni ms. jayne, may i sumbong siya kay sr. wayne at sa amin. so as a response to the BOOING of the guy na nka green, we storm him in return. parinig rinig lang naman.. eh ito namang si rojard nasiko niya yung green guy na di naman sinasadya.. nag sorry naman si rojard infairness...edi siya naman may i palit seating arrangement sa kasama niya kasi siguro bothered siya sa amin. and then dun na nag start palitan ng BOO!...little do we know na hot din pala yung STI Lahug at STI Mandaue. eh nasa likuran namin yung mga tga STI Mandaue. edi super support sila sateam namin at ganun din us sa kanilang team. super gulo na sa loob ng Mandaue Sports Complex. protest here and there... BOO here and there... grabe yung mga adrenalin namin kasi we knew na parang dinadaya kami ng mga STI Lahug. eh palaban din yung binangga nila...ayaw namin talaga paawat. pero our adrenalin faded kasi naispisip namin na useless din kasi sila yung host school eh..tapos sa kanila pa yung mga judges...sa kanila pa yung venue...talo talaga kami... parang na plan na kung ano yung gusto nilang outcome.. so kami naman as a sport kind of human beings, we've accepted our defeat sa Mr. & Ms. STI lang naman..."sige sa inyo na yan" as i qoute...

as we are about to leave the vicinity of the venue, i, myself was about a few inches lang sa likod ni sir wayne.nung naka baba na kami sa hagdan, out of the blue, there was a guy na nka orange or red i thin k na bilang binangga si sir wayne "intentionally". so parang as quick response i step backward a few inches lang kay sir wayne. sa isip ko lang parang magkakagulo na!.. so nung habang nagkakaroon ng confrontation yung guy at si sir wayne eh bigla na lang pinalibutan si sir wayne ng mga tall guys from STI Lahug...sa isip ko lang, bugbog na to si sir wayne...he was out numbered na kasi..eh ang liit pa ni sir wayne tapos ang lalaki pa nung mga pumalibot sa kanya...tapos nung parang may physicalan na, i ran sa may bandang gate kasi i saw ms. lodana. tapos yun na..rambulan na talaga. and then i saw sir wayne having a shouting confrontation with a guy na kulot. a heard a part of it na parang pinopoint out nung kulot na "hindi kayo taga rito; wag kayong maghariharian" parang ganun yung pagkakarinig ko ano...my message to the kulot: "HELLOW!! bakit? nakapangalan ba sayo yung buong CEBU? ang gara mo namang punyeta ka!..ang kitid talaga!...". siguro napigilan yun kung tight yung security preparation nila... eh yung pulis nga nakatunganga lang eh...iniintay pa nila na may blood splattering pa na mangyayari..diyos ko..kami na nga yung inagrabyado kami pa ang dadalhin sa presinto..ano kaya yun!... siguro kung school namin yung nag host siguro far more better pa yun kaysa sa host na school na yun...it was soo ________ .... nakalabas lang kami siguro nung may mga faculty na from the host school na umawat...

ibinabalik ko ngayon yung binitiwang salita ng Ms. STI Lahug contestant na "they (referring to STI Bacolod) are so uneducated"... "indi na ko makibot if one of these days you will be Ms. GAY - Cebu" hahahaha! ayoko na nang mag comment sa Mr. STI Lahug...uncommentable naman kasi yun... anyways super ngarag kaya us nung nasa labas na kami ng vicinity nung venue kasi parang (parang lang naman) babalikan nila kami especially nung nasa hotel na kami...as in super nervous system us kasi parang may sumunod daw sa amin..tapos may na hospital na raw sa group ng mga tga STI Lahug...tapos yung na hospital ay parang sa slum area nakatira tapos malapit lang yung hospital sa hotel namin...super nervous talaga...kaya di natuloy yung dinner namin sa labas... sayang!...pero at least safe kami...

sir joel decided na umuwi na lang kami as soon as posible for security reasons kasi he cannot do anything if something else happens...isa pa malay namin na nagsumbong yun sa mga ka tropa nila na hindi tga STI Lahug..mas delikado yun...buti na lang walang masamang nangyari sa amin...hay grabe yung mga experiences we've gained while we're in Cebu...hay...kaso nga lang ma sasanction yung school namin because of the incident. ok lang atleast safe kami na nakabalik sa Bacolod. next time naman nga Harzians ah!... balitaan ko uli kayo kung ano yung mga latest dito sa amin...

CEBU Escapade

today is august 2, 2007, 9:30 pm. im here today sa CEBU...kasalukuyan nandito ako ngayon sa Cebu SoftTouch Internet cafe sa harap lang ng hotel namin. kasama ko sina Irish, Cherry, at Carlo..sa Elicon House kami tumutuloy...hayyyy...super stressful yung day ko magmula nung departure namin sa Bacolod. byahe namin 11 pm tapos nakarating kami sa Escalante (ewan ko kung saan sa escalante spefically) mga pass 2 na yung siguro.. di ko na maalala eh. tapos a 2 hour cruise on our luxurous ferry papuntang somewhere in Cebu tapos another 2 - 3 hours trip papuntang Metro Cebu. hayyy!...nakakapagod. tapos konti lang ang tulog ko kasi inikot pa namin yung Cebu...ang gara pala ng Cebu no!...na lula ako sa mga nagtataasang skyscrappers...WOW talaga!..im nervous na for tomorrow kasi competition na..hala!...baka mablangko ako bukas...sana hindi naman.. nandyan naman kasi sina Cherry at Rojard... anyways...hanggang dito na lang kasi medyo inaantok na ako... next time naman ah!...

i would like to tell everyone that for the first time, I, Haryl Acha, had join a Quiz Bee in CEBU!... WHAAAATTTTTT!!!!!.... i really never imagine joining in such activities because i dont have the courage & guts to join in activites like quiz bees...im quite overwhelmed today because its quiet an achivement for my part to represent our school in CEBU. i just hope that with the help of Cherry & Rojard we could get places in the overall standing. btw, bukas na nga pala kami aalis papuntang CEBU. MOOD: SUPER as in SUPER DUPER EXCITED na me for tomorrow. i will land me feet again sa CEBU for the second time around. kasi nung first time ko i was like 7 or 8 years old at muntik muntikanan na me ma lost sa CEBU. as in... gusto kong puntahan yung Magellan Shrine tsaka yung place ni LAPULAPU...la lang...to reminesce the history lang... on the other hand, hindi ko nakita si jennie...super iwasan ang drama!...la lang...siya naman kasi eh!...sinurprise surprise pa ako.. eh hindi naman ako na surprise, na SHOCK kaya ako!...di na sana niya pina edit yun kasi parang non-sense naman yun!...pinaglaruan lang ng editor yung pinaghirapan naming mtv... hay!!! tapos sabi niya wala daw kaming entry kasi daw hindi ma convert tapos yun yung makikita ko!... hellow!!!... kung ikaw kaya sa lugar ko ano mafefeel mo?... for ex. ikaw ang director tapos inedit yung pinaghiran mong video nang di mo alam, ano kaya mararamdaman mo? tapos hindi pa yung desired outcome mo yung lumabas...edi talo kami!... hay buhay!...next time naman ah!...

PBB Season 2 Big Winner

Day 126 marks the end of a long journey but at the same time a new beginning for four housemates. However, one life specifically is changed in the grandest, most possible way. Her determination and tight grasp on her dreams led Sassy Girl Beatriz Saw to where she truly belongs – at the top and as this season’s Big Winner.

The Big Night at the Big Dome opened with of course a big bang with a fiesta theme to celebrate the big event. All ex-housemates, Slovenian BB housemate Tina Semolic and host Toni Gonzaga were present in the opening salvo of the show to welcome the four remaining housemates – Wendy, Bea, Gee-Ann and Mickey. The Big Four were transported out of Kuya’s abode in style, riding in separate vintage cars to the Araneta Coliseum. They were then placed inside a mock confession room, where they wore eye patches and headsets.

Queen of Gameshows Kris Aquino took everyone on a trip down memory lane, reminiscing the highs and lows of the season. From the first day inside the house, where we met six housemates to the completion of the twelve, the secret housemates, official housemates and those who entered the yellow house’s door to share their lives to the last week where six housemates were again left, it was a roller coaster ride everyone all enjoyed to the end.

A season would not be complete without the Big Debate and Big Brother delivered that tonight with a twist. Comedians Jon Santos, Candy Pangilinan, Giselle Sanchez and RS Francisco made a spoof of the remaining four housemates, explaining to everyone why they deserve Kuya’s golden kalabasa. Jon as Mickey showed off his dancing prowess while Candy brought the house down with her Beatriz signature laugh. Giselle fluttered her eyelashes ala Gianina and RS spat out memorable lines from this season’s most controversial housemate Wendy.

Then it was the real Big Four’s turn to say their final words to their supporters. Bea again told everyone that she only showed her real self. "Kung ano ako noon, eto pa rin ako ngayon. Ginawa ko lahat ng paraan…kaya ako nakaupo ditto ngayon." the lass from Bicol stated. Gee-Ann again stated her huge transformation as a housemate. "Lahat-lahat nagawa ko. Sayaw, kanta, laba, plantsa…lahat kinaya ko." Wendy on the other hand asked for understanding from the people. "Sana maintindihan ng mga tao ang ginawa ko. Sorry, tao lang. May dahilan kung bakit nandito ako." Mickey this time was at a loss for words and could only mutter a few words. "Just be myself and hinarap lahat ng hamon. I enjoyed my stay in the house." At this point Kuya thanked all of them for their stay inside this house. He hoped that they discovered something about themselves and learned great life lessons which they will share with others outside his house. Kuya imparted his final message to the Big Four – that they be understanding, be thankful to the people and the Lord above and remain humble.

‘Til the final moment, Big Brother had a special surprise for the four. They got the chance to be congratulated first by people very close to their hearts. Bea got encouraging words from her ninong Fr. Baltazar Imperial, who was like a 2nd father to her. Gee-Ann could only hug her old nanny, Yaya Conching who was her constant companion growing up. Wendy said sorry over and over again as she hugged her mom, who assured her that things will be OK. Mickey was once again speechless at the sight of his older brother Angelo, who flew in from Switzerland just to witness this momentous night.

The last three minutes of the show revealed a special tribute for the previous winners of the first season, celebrity edition and teen edition. Nene Tamayo, Keanna Reeves and Kim Chiu all entered Big Brother’s house simple people and emerged as empowered women.

Then it was time for the moment of truth with SGV and Co.’s Juliet Bautista handing Toni the official results. Cheering Chick Gee-Ann Abrahan garnered 21.58% of the votes making her this season’s 4th Big Placer. Gee-Ann emerged all smiles to the chant of the crowd after Jayson Gainza and SBB’s Tina announcement. She received P200,000 courtesy of My Marvel Taheebo and a Polo Air Travel and Tours Hong Kong trip package for 2.

After SGV and Co.’s Rosanna Fajardo’s confirmation of the results, Celebrity Edition’s Zanjoe Marudo and ABS-CBN Head for TV Production Cory Vidanes called Wendy Valdez out into the stage as PBB’s 3rd Big Placer. Despite the crowd’s not so warm reception, the Commercial Babe put on a brave face and addressed the audience. "OKlang po, basta ‘wag lang po masaktan ang family ko. Kahit po naiinis kayo sa akin, pagbinabanggit ninyo ang pangalan ko, salamat na rin at pinapansin ninyo ako." She received P300,000 from My Marvel Taheebo and a Polo Air Travel and Tours 3-city Asian Tour of Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Mickey Perz could not believe that he has become this season’s 2nd Big Placer. He immediately hugged his mom and relatives upon seeing them. Keeping his message short and sweet, the Fil Austrian has nothing but good words for his supporters. "Salamat sa pagtiwala at pagmamahal ninyo sa akin." Mickey takes home P500,000 from My Marvel Taheebo plus a Polo Air Travel and Tours 3-US City tour to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Beatriz Saw was flashing a 1000 watt smile when she entered the big stage via a huge globe. After verification from SGV and Co.’s Ante Aserol and ABS-CBN Head Charo Santos-Concio’s announcement of her win, Bea was engulfed in a group hug by family and relatives. Bea, helping make Season 2 have the biggest vote turn out that surpassed even the previous season and editions's total number of votes, got 30.29% of the votes. The Sassy Girl will be taking home P1,000,000 courtesy of My Marvel Taheebo, a Polo Air Travel European tour for 2 to Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal. She will also receive a kitchen showcase, a brand new car and a house and lot in St. Monique Valais from Globe Asiatic. To her avid supporters Bea has only this to say, "Thank you! Follow your dreams! Go!"

today is june 12, 2007, tuesday, its kinda rainy outside, basa nga me ngayon eh. happy independence day to all filipinos nga pala... btw, sa 18 na ang class namin and im excited na parang nasasad kasi pasukan na naman... puyat sa assignments... cheating sa mga quizzes at exams (joke lang!)... lots of activities... hayyyy... buhay studyante na naman... namimiss ko na ang mga klassmates ko especially my closest friends (the famous 6)... na mimiss ko rin ung some faculties and staff sa school. na mimiss ko rin ung starmart & peoples villages (we're often there)... hayyy... stressfull semester na naman to for sure. overload kasi ang units ko kaya i have to catch up. nag-advance kasi me ng subjects & may subjects ako na kukunin sa 1st yr. kasi di ko pa nakuha un kasi nag shift me ng course... ginusto ko rin naman kasi para wala ako maxadong vacant the whole day ko sa school. di ko kasi type yun 3 to 4 hours lang ung pasok ko sa school kasi boring yun. gusto ko kasi ng excitement... on that note its time to say bye bye for now...see you next time naman ah!

With just a word, a touch or a simple act of kindness, one could bring forth memories to cherish forever. And even if Yen bade goodbye to her housemates tonight, all the bits of wisdom she had shared to them will surely be remembered.

Pay it forward. This is one rule in Yen’s book that she tries to live up to. And in the three weeks that she stayed in kuya’s house, she had portrayed this well by being a good friend to all of the housemates. She, who was a stranger to be wary of at first; A mother figure who seemingly wanted to rule their lives… But that was all in the past.

Eventually, she had proven that she’s an equal. No stern parenting. No superiority issues whatsoever. Just someone who’s there to share herself and provide them with guidance or some thoughts to ponder on in relation to their personal trials. However brief her stint at PBB was, the extent of her presence was really a big help especially during the down moments of the HMs. With her eviction, it was really quite heartbreaking that the Hati-House decree hindered her from fully spending quality time with everyone. “When I came here, all I wanted is to touch lives, inspire people and to give hope. But now I wanna thank you for touching my life, for inspiring me and for giving me hope.”

Perhaps, even Globe Ticket Winner Hannah who made her exit hours ago was filled with similar emotions. Nevertheless, her week-long privilege was still laced with excitement. She became the girls’s ‘snail mail messenger’ after winning the snail race for the women’s division. Compared to Mr. Snailman or Bruce, the viewers will agree that she’s the better ‘courier’ between the two of them. Moreover, she was able to conquer her fear of snails! The snail delicacy which she tearfully prepared finally enabled the HMs to eat their meals using normal chinaware. So you see, she certainly left a great contribution with her fruitful endeavors.

Meanwhile, while the housemates’ patience was tested with various tasks kuya had in line for them, Mr. Perfect was consumed with loneliness and other negative feelings. After expressing his thoughts about wanting to give up, Big Brother brought out his suitcase for him to pack his things into it, if he’s determined to come out of his house. He confided that he simply missed his family especially his dad and brother whom he love very much. “Kahit pinapalo po niya ako, mahal na mahal ko (siya)”. Naturally, PBB's self-confessed ladies man opted not to go!

Tonight as week 13 ends, it became quite clear that the housemates have learned a lot, what with all the punishments and tasks they’ve encountered. As they attempt to make the boats they built with their bare hands float later at dawn, will they succeed in putting an end to the rigid Hati-House rule? Or will their hard work prove useless if they found their crafts sinking? And who will be the next batch of nominee HMs tomorrow night? its 3:48 pm. here me sa rcn again. la lang..parang o.p. nga me here eh!.. parang me lang ung nag-iinternet dito kasi karamihan nag-oonline games. moving forward to our discussion, im a bonafied student na of STI College Bacolod. kakatapos ko lang mag-enroll kanikanina lang. super ngarag me kanina kasi over na sa required units ang pinaasses ko sa registrar. buti na lang napaki-usapan ko si dean na nag-over me kasi gusto kong kunin ang Philosophy. wala lang...good kasi ang instructor ng subject na yan. si sir buenaflor. la lang.. nanamian lang me sa kanya. thats how instructors should be.. buti na nga lang favorite me ni dean kasi kung hindi, hindi ko sana yun nakuha. isa pa, gusto ko kasi maklasmate sina susan and company. isisingit ko pa sa yung Psychology & Philippine Government kaso, 32 units na yun. masaydo nang loaded. eh kasi naman noh, ang pangit ng scheduling ko. kung di ko kinuha ang said subjects, vacant me MWF morning. eh ayoko nun.. boring lang yun at saka malapit pa sa temptation. gusto ko kasi lubos-lubosin na ang pag-aaral kasi 20 months me tambay lang sa bahay! nakakasawa naman. parati nalang tv, kain, tulog...gusto ko maiba naman kaya all-out na kung all-out. other reason is para kokonti nalang yung subject ko pagdating ng 4th year. para matutukan ko talaga ang aking thesis. kesyo pa naman naturinga me na genius sa school because of my new look. yan na muna for this day!... next time naman. take care kayo diyan!...

today is 3:04 pm, May 21, 2007. here me sa rcn, near UNO-R...la lang.. internet me here. you know what, hindi na me natutuwa sa latest na pinakikita ng mga housemates ni BIG BROTHER exept Bea. it all started with Wendy and her backstab friends. yung episode na binakfire nila si Mickey. kinda nairita me sa kanila. how dare them! tapos ung kagabi, unulit na naman nila.. nairita na rin me kay Yen. not effective sa akin ang mommy mommyhan niya sa bahay! "katalaka bala haw"... pati si Zeke na walang kaalam alam, pinatulan! how rude she is nung nag aask si Zeke sa kanya ng mga tanong. ok naman ung tanong ni Zeke sa kanya tapos sasagutin niya ng pabalang! lukaret! wierd talaga siya! wawa naman si Zeke! napahiya lang sa harap ng mga housemates niya and maybe the millions of all the televiewers who where watching! ay... kung ako yun sa lagay ni Zeke, ibabalik ko sa kanya ang mga non-sense na mga sagot niya! may pinag-aralan pa naman siya at saka teacher pa naman din siya!.. tapos yung mga housemates turned backstabs idiot di man lang pinagtanggol si Zeke. nakikonstaba na rin sa kay Yen! pati na yang Bodie na yan! so YABANG! feeling niya perfect siay parati. pati nga si Kuya inaano nia e! pinagdadasal talaga kita na matanggal ka diyan sa house ni Kuya! bullshit ka Bodie! you such an asshole! bakit pa kasi sumali ka pa diyan! eh wala ka naman ginagawa diyan kundi manira at mang-backstab ng mga tao or housemates moh! you madah F****R!... hay naku!.. hinahighblood na ako! sana may makita akong pagbabago sa mga susunod na mga season.. at sana palayasin na sa bahay ni kuya ang mga backstabs!..

today is 5:30 of may 18, 2007. wala lang.. bored lang me kasi sa bahay kaya nag internet me muna...nung wednesday, may 16, nag watch kami ng movie together with my friends sa Centroplex. we've watch Spiderman 3. the movie was great. having Spiderman a 3 villaim is one hell of an action film. Toby did an awesome job! kudos to all the masterminds of this block-buster film. ang ganda ng special effects, casting, & the storyline...na windang talaga ako! sayang nga at na dead si harry osborn. drama king ang effect! super salo niya yung panaksak na para sana sa bestfriend turn enemy and then turned bestest best friend niya na si Peter Parker. how touch lives naman... thats how bestfriends should be. Harry qouted kasi nung nasa hospital siya at may amnesia na "he will give his life for his friends"...touching lives naman talaga!... next time naman ah! bibitinin ko muna kayo kasi baka wala na kayong excitement pag sinabi ko na lahat.

what a fucking day! it's 1:30 am, may 15, 2007. andito me ngayon sa pylon internet cafe. la lang! bored lang me sa skul. yah! you heard me right. nasa skul kami because of the ABS-CBN's Halalan 2007 because STI is thier major contributor to thier Unofficial Quickcount. nakakapraning naman talaga mag volunteer noh?!..dios ko! nakakapagod na nakakainis ,na mainit, na kung ano pang mga kadahilanan... my job is to tally the running votes of the national election every 30 minutes...ang dami kaya nun.. nagkandaduling-duling na nga me sa kakatotal ng mga votes ng mga TRAPO... i was referring to the TU...eh mka GO ako eh.. thanks to the voting public kasi GO ung leading sa mga kina count namin especially Chiz Escudero. salamat na lang at nakapasok siya sa top five... hayyy... kawawa na man si Pichay.. nalantta na... ginawa nang pochero... wawa naman you! sayang nga di me naka vote kasi di me nakapag-register. nakalimutan ko kasi eh. sa next election naman. pero baka di me boboto.. ganun pa rin naman eh.. poverty, crimes, poor quality of education, graft and corruption is everywhere..name it, Philippines have it! from election fraud up to cellphone snatching. puro pangako nang pangako, di naman natutpad pagnahalal na! mga TRAditional POlitician talaga... yun na nga lang. malapit na ung time ko eh.. until next time naman ah!

grade school reunion?

wazzup?..musta na? na miss ko kayo ah! joke! its 7:15 pm, im writing my blog today with my friends sa rfc internet cafe. im so tired up today kasi nag outing kami kanina sa beach. just a little gathering up kasi di naman un actually na matatawag na reunion kasi a lot are missing. yung mga di na inform at yung mga di sumipot. masaya naman. ok lang... fair lang yung vibe. ang init kasi sa beach eh! ang sakit sa balat. maalinsangan kasi kanina kaya super pawis me. shocker naman kasi yung invitation nila! they texted me yesterday lang so di me maxado naka prepare ng kung ano man. plus, wala pa naman me load kahapon kaya di ko alam kung saan at kung anong oras at kung saan ang meeting place. kaninang morning ko nga lang nalaman na sa beach. i expected somewhere else. sayang! pero ok lang. enjoy naman me kahit pilit lang! joke! until here na lang! next time naman ah!

The sands of time that measured Wendy’s stint in Big Brother’s esteemed House has finally ran out. But as she walked out the door of Kuya’s house, two new housemates make their surprise debut, more than filling in the shoes that Maricris left with her swift forced eviction. The maxim ‘with every ending, there comes a new beginning’ certainly holds true to the recent Fourth Eviction Night!

With one wrong move, the hot commercial babe falls prey to an unfortunate eviction that she brought upon herself. Just to refresh your memory, her accidental lapel violation made her an automatic nominee for this eviciton night. And with four, short days to be saved by her avid followers, nothing stopped the fates for her to bid goodbye…

When PBB Host Bianca Gonzales announced this to the housemates, it was the Hardcourt Hottie’s turn to cry river of tears. But this time, it is not a Swap but a longer period of time will separate their team-up. With the unresolved issue between them, Bruce can’t accept the fact that he lost her this fast! But before Wendy made her way out he left her with this parting words, “If we are really meant for each other, then let it be.” Despite the rift between them yesterday, her last hours were spent in Bruce’s arms, their hearts silently reconciling the conflict which threatens to break them apart, even before they become an official couple.

Meanwhile, it seems that a lot of mothering will befall upon the housemates with two real mothers joining them tonight. Big Brother decided to introduce two new residents who’ll be breathing the highs and lows of the amazing PBB life. Former PBB housemate Bianca first introduced Geraldine, 32 years old and a single mother of two kids. Dubbed as the Palengke Queen, her experiences in life taught her to become a fighter. At a young age, she was forced to work in Japan to find means to support her family. When asked why she deserves to live in Kuya’s House she emotionally answered, “Nais kong ipamahagi ang aking kaalaman sa kabila ng aking nakaraan.”

Similar to Gee, Makabagong Ina or Yen has two kids and she came from Quezon City too. In her mid thirties, she had a short stint as a fashion stylist and now she works as a head teacher in a school training Korean students for ESL (English as a Second Language) courses. Yen claims that she will definitely take care of the housemates during her stint in PBB.

However, one of them will be leaving within a week as the housemates make their choice on who will be staying with them for good. A bit older than the others, will they easily warm up and take a comfortable place among the vivacious cluster of true blue PBB residents? dear harzians,

its hard to say goodbye to a good friend in grade school. she's edzel tayona, died at the age of 19, the only daughter in the family. di nga clear kung ano yung cause of death niya. meningitis daw or na overdose sa gamot o kung sa ano mang kadahilanan. daw di nga me makapaniwala na mangyayari yun sa kanya. kasi i know her as a strong person. kaya nga na shock me nung nalaman ko ang nangyari sa kanya thru text of grade school klasmate also. parang natulala pa me for a moment nga eh nung na recieve ko yung text. parang ang bilis naman niyang nawala. pangalawa na siya sa section namin na sumakabilang buhay na. first was loren policarpio noong 2002 then her. sa section namin nung grade 6 tatlo sila ang close. si loren, si edzel, and si julie ann. huwag naman sana manyari ung nasa isip ko. so kanina nag-instant reunion ang grade 6-2 sa burol ni edzel. matagal tagal na rin kasing hindi nagkita-kita. hay ganun parin sila. ung mga pagmumukha lang nila ang nagbago pero ung attidute ganun pa rin. ang kakapal!... JOKE! ok lang sila. siguro 1/4 nung section namin nadun. buti pa sa patay, nag-rereunion. after nung burol, pinuntahan namin si loren sa rolling hills. wala lang! para madalaw lang xa. matagal tagal na rin kasi kaming di nakakapunta dun eh. dun lang kami.. kwentuhan about sa buhay buhay... ah tama na nga to... time out na me! next time naman!

hay..salamat! vacation na! kakatapos lang exam ko. clearances na lang ang kulang. ari ko subung lapit sa uno r upod ko si BJ-aoun. may bag o di nga internet shop na kakaopen lang. barato lang guid di katama! ang exam ko gali gina trigo, phil. literature, kag OPT2. budlay sang Phil. Lit.. essay lang tanan bala haw. katalaka isip sang inug sulat ko sa testpaper, but somehow i manage to answer all the questions...basi ma summer ko guro sa STI kay may..ah basta ah! kita kits lang ta to ah!

hay...natapos man guid! from weeks of planning, researching, typing, debugging, puyat til dawn, finally it came to an end... ano man bi abi kay kadamo interruption yesterday... halin sa jobfair, hasta sa pagsal-ot sang DIT sa defense namon. sang nag lunch kami ika 5 or 6 pa lang..after lunch, DIT ang nagbulos. ti mga 4 man sila guro na end. dugay dugay bala haw. ti kami ya wala pa gani sa ika 1/4 sang class namon ang naka defense. ti amu to nga nagab-ihan guid kami. me mga 10pm nako naka defense. since morning di na me mapakali. daw ginakulbaan nga daw indi ko ka understand. pero sang nagdefense na me daw medyo medyo na lang. kasi naman gutom na inaantok na me. di na nga makasagot ng tama sa mga tanong ni sir delimz kasi gutom at inaantok na me. ok naman ung outcome ng defense ko. maybe above so-so naman me..i hope so.. tani pasar man kami tanan ba..kaso basi may mataktak guid sa amon. kilala ko na na kung sin o na sila. next year naman ah! next year may defense na naman!kita kits ah!

Housemates Fail The Room Service Task

After the housemates have recovered from the dreadful blood-letting task, they were all called by Big Brother into the living room. It was then when Kuya officially closed the week-long Room Service Task. However, things did not turn out well for our housemates.

There was complete silence in the living room as Big Brother presented the results of the task. Big Brother began by reiterating the important rules of the task to the housemates. We remember early this week that the housemates only have two minutes after the bell to immediately wear their complete respective apron and toque. Unfortunately, Kuya observed that some of the housemates had a problem following this specific rule. While making the leche flan, Kian and Robert did not wear their aprons. While preparing the Pasta Negra, Kian failed to wear his toque. In the Tinolang Palaka Challenge, Kian, once again, and Jasmin failed to wear their toques. Big Brother expressed his disappointment regarding some of the housemates' violations, and he regretfully reprimanded everyone with a deduction of points.
In terms of efficiency, the housemates were able to pleased Big Brother with their success in finishing all the tasks on time. The housemates were very happy upon hearing Kuya's congratulations. In terms of presentation, Big Brother was also pleased with the creativity that the housemates showed in the serving of their dish.

However, it was in the taste criteria where it became crucial for the housemates. Big Brother asked some of his friends to taste the dishes prepared by the housemates, and there were mixed reviews. "Ano ba yan?! ang tabang," "Parang kare kareng kaldereta," "Okay na sana pero kulang sa alat," were some of the comments which elicited different reactions from the housemates.

Based on the rule violations and the criteria, the housemates failed to deliver a satisfactory performance. As a result, 60% will be deducted from the housemates' budget for week three, as this was agreed upon prior to the start of the Room Service Task. Their regular Php 6,000 weekly budget was reduced to Php 2,400 for the following week.

It was, however, a learning experience for our housemates. Bea expressed her frustration regarding the violations, but no one blamed anyone for the failure. Everyone remained determined to do well in the next task by strengthening teamwork.
